” I never thought that what I learned from my grandma was going to save me later on. I saw that as a possible source of income and a future career path.

In 2012, after almost 16 years in the Army, I was medically retired because of PTSD, TBI, and other conditions, which changed my world.

During many times in treatment, I was closely working with my therapist to find a new meaning in my life. That is when I thought, what better to do than do what my grandma taught me, COOKING.

Since then, cooking has been my path of recovery, the reconnection with my family, the initiation for conversations with friends, and a way to express myself.”
